DESCRIPTION:The Machias Police Department is hosting their Drug Take-Back Day in collaboration with the Washington County Sherriff’s Office and Healthy Acadia.  Community members are encouraged to bring in any unused\, unwanted or expired prescription drugs for this free\, anonymous service.  Additional Disposal opportunities – the Washington County Sherriff’s Office and the Calais Police Departments have prescription drug drop boxes that are accessible 24 hours a day\, seven days a week.  Drop boxes cannot take needles\, epinephrine pens\, or other sharps.
