Machias Fire Department along with the Machias Sewer Dept will be flushing sewer lines and cleaning sidewalks.  The fire hydrants will be used and may cause you to experience rusty water for a short period of time. Please be certain to flush your lines before drinking the water or doing laundry.  We apologize for any inconvenience.
