The Town of Machias accepts applications for open positions as they become available. Current employment opportunities will be posted on this page. Applicants should clearly indicate the position and/or department they are applying for when submitting materials.

If no specific opening is listed, the Town may still retain applications and resumes for future consideration based on operational needs.

Application Structure

The Town of Machias uses a standardized employment application process:

  • A General Employment Application is required for all applicants
  • Each department has a department-specific addendum tailored to the duties, certifications, and requirements of that role

This process helps ensure consistency while allowing applicants to provide information relevant to the specific position they are seeking.
